Ronald Ray Mangiaracina's extensive background is deeply rooted in
business creation and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), a legacy
profoundly shaped by his ancient Sicilian heritage. His family name,
Mangiaracina, meaning "eating grapes," traces its origins in Sicily to
before 900 AD. Historical records, including church archives,
sometimes shortened the name to Mangrca, signifying a lineage of
aristocratic landowners who once held vast tracts of land—nearly a
million hectares—and possessed ancient palazzi.
This deep
connection to the land and its bounty has profoundly influenced his
ventures, leading him to spend a decade in Sicily actively seeking
large agricultural land for various projects—a search he continues for
his current endeavors.
A Passion for
Authentic Produce
Beyond his established business acumen, Mangiaracina has diversified
into unique agricultural exports. For seven years, he successfully
grew and exported Carolina Reaper peppers to Russia, in addition to
supplying a major wholesaler. This passion for authentic produce
naturally led him to the creation of a novel brand of only
cold-pressed olive oil, a natural extension of his family's historical
connection to the land and its harvests.
His
journey with olive oil began approximately 17 years ago when he
participated in his first olive harvest in Porto Palo, near Menfi,
Sicily. This initial endeavor yielded 250 liters of pure, cold-pressed
virgin olive oil with a distinctly fruity, authentic Sicilian flavor.
Since then, he has cultivated numerous contacts in olive oil
production and has personally overseen harvests every year.
The Ancient Witness:
900 Years of Excellence
At the heart of our passion lies a profound connection to Sicily's
ancient olive groves. For the past 13 years, I've personally nurtured
and harvested from a remarkable olive tree, a living testament to
time, standing proudly for 900 years. Each year, this single, majestic
tree consistently yields an incredible 100 liters of pure, golden
olive oil – a true gift from history.
This tree embodies the enduring spirit of Sicilian agriculture and the
deep, generational knowledge that goes into every drop of our oil.
It's not just a tree; it's a living part of our legacy and a source of
unparalleled quality.
